★★★★★ 5.0 from 154 Google reviews · Ringwood

General dentistry is the everyday care that stops small problems from becoming expensive ones. A thorough exam, a proper clean and honest advice about what actually needs doing, and what can safely be watched.

Most of our patients see us twice a year. That rhythm catches decay while it is still a tiny filling, keeps gum disease from taking hold, and means you almost never get an unwelcome surprise.

What a general appointment covers

  • A full examination of teeth, gums, bite and soft tissues
  • Professional scale and clean to remove plaque and hardened tartar
  • Dental imaging where it is genuinely needed, never as routine padding
  • Tooth coloured fillings that blend with your natural enamel
  • Fluoride treatment and fissure sealants for extra protection
  • A written plan with clear priorities, so you decide what happens next

How your visit runs

  1. 1
    We listen first

Before anything else we ask what has been bothering you, what you want from your teeth, and whether anything about the dentist makes you anxious.

  2. 2
    A careful look

A full examination of every tooth, your gums and your bite, with imaging only where it will change the plan.

  3. 3
    A proper clean

Scaling, polishing and a check of the spots you are missing at home. Patients tell us this is the part that feels genuinely different here.

  4. 4
    A plan you understand

You leave knowing exactly what is healthy, what needs attention now, and what can wait. No pressure and no jargon.

Common questions

General Dentistry questions

How often should I have a checkup?

For most adults every six months is the right rhythm. If you have healthy gums and no history of decay we may stretch that to twelve months. If you are managing gum disease, we will usually want to see you more often until it is stable.

Does a clean hurt?

It should not. If your gums are inflamed they can feel tender, which is usually a sign the clean is overdue. Tell us and we will slow down, adjust our technique or numb the area. Nobody here will push on through while you are uncomfortable.

I have not been to a dentist in years. Will I get a lecture?

No. A lot of our new patients say the same thing, and the reason they finally came in is that they knew they would not be judged. We start where you are and build a plan from there.

Do you accept my health fund?

We accept all major Australian health funds and claim on the spot through HICAPS, so you only pay any gap on the day.
